broadcasting from The Lot Radio, summer school radio started as a pandemic project for Lovie. now four years old, the show boasts a community of listeners that tune in monthly to hear her discoveries, for a sonic range that spans ambient, spoken word, spiritual jazz, soul, alternative R&B, and more–new releases from Nala Sinephro and Laila! sit alongside Jeff Majors and Lonnie Liston Smith.in 2024, summer school radio expanded to in person deep listening sessions at Weeksville Heritage Center in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. the performance space at Weeksville becomes an experiential room for sound, with Lovie's curation joined alongside guests such as Alex Rita (Calm Roots), muva of Earth, and Laraaji.

Lovie's music discovery was born in the digital music age: a young lover of local radio and after-school MTV marathons, her early mixes took shape in the form of burned CDs she made for friends. In relocating from her hometown of Washington, D.C. to New York in August of 2020, Lovie's unique selection swiftly ushered her into New York's local music scene. Within a year, she'd earned a Lot Radio residency; and has since become a staple at notable venues throughout the city and a cofounder of Brooklyn's sweetest party, Soul Connection.
Lovie's sets guarantee a sweet, soulful, and spiritual selection, as she moves across genres with subtle softness, weaving together a sound that creates warmth, and makes you move.
